This sounds awesome! I really enjoy JCS and to have it surf-ified sounds rather interesting to me. To me it’s not much different than hearing Me First and the Gimme Gimmes do punk/upbeat versions of songs from the 60s/70s/80s. Thanks!

I loved JCS when it came out and I saw it in a real theater. Don’t condemn Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

Thanks! The whole idea initially struck me as kind of odd – – though look who’s talking, right? Yet the tracks I’ve checked out so far have been “working” pretty well. And, come to think of it, one of my favorite tunes is “Slaughter on 10th. Avenue,” which has received the surf treatment on a few occasions. So the overall approach probably ISN’T that unusual, after all.

Agree with all you say. Yes some old tunes got great surf treatments. I don’t think I’d heard of any of these bands.
