That is not “extracted.” I would send him digital copies of my friends’ 45’s that he would clean up and use for that series!

That reminds me: I used to be friends with the collector whose 45s were used to create this rather groundbreaking compilation from 1978: https://www.discogs.com/master/1213881-Various-Rockabilly-Bash-Volume-One . He had simply lent the singles out to the person who actually put out the album, but I remember him being all secretive about it — i.e., lest somebody blow the whistle on him! Oh, how times have changed . . .
