Interesting… I was not aware that The Animals did a cover of Mama Told Me Not To Come. I’ll have to check that out. Fun facts: I think everyone knows the Three Dog Night cover of this Randy Newman tune which topped the Billboard charts in 1970. However, in 1972 Wilson Pickett had a go at this tune as well. It was only in the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks and peaked at #99 in Nov of ’72. It fared a little better on the R&B charts peaking at #16.
